Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills

Introduction to Water Skills

Must be at least 6 years old. Introduces basic aquatic skills, which continue to be built upon throughout Learn-to-Swim levels. A brief list of objectives includes:

• Open eyes underwater and retrieve submerged objects
• Back float (with assistance)
• Arm and hand treading actions (with assistance in chest deep water)
• Combined arm and leg actions on front and back
